Hi, i'm editing a short-film, the source files is 1080p 24fps, but the director needs a version to DVD (NTSC 4:3 30fps), because the projector of university don't support 1080p resolution and the DVD reader will be installed in projector. My question is, i can downscale to 480i but in the exported file, you can see the effect of interlaced, how i fix this?

Thanks.

You want to make a 24p DVD, not an interlaced (29.97) one. I would also not make it 4:3. The player will handle everything just fine.

So, you want MPEG-2, 23.976, progressive (no fields).

Exporting with 480p works fine =) but the projector need support progressive too? Or this don't make difference to projector?

I've got a problem with downscaling from 1080/24p to 480p. I love the fact that I can use my 1080p in Encore for Bluray publishing and that it automatically creates a DVD version by selecting that format. And I seem to remember this producing very nice results in a previous project. But in a recent concert project, the 1080p footage was very nice but when Encore created the DVD version the moire was horrendous. I probably would have been better off shooting sd footage on my older camcorder. Is there another conversion process I can use that will make a cleaner conversion from bluray to dvd format? BTW, I was shooting with a Nikon D7000.
