Download Movies with Quicktime?

[shortnstout]

Hey everyone,
I used to download movies (so they were on my computer, not streaming) with QT 7 pro. Now on my new Macbook Pro there is QT 10 and no pro version. Is there any easy way to download movies? I can't even download stuff from archive.org

Thanks!

You need to download QT 7 to your new computer and enter your QT Pro registration code. I believe 7.4.6 is the latest version that supports Pro. I have no idea what the deal is with v.10. I just stuck with 7 as opposed to having two different versions bumbling around on my computer for no damn good reason. Nice job Apple...
