hey folks- i am hoping someone can shed some light on some settings i am trying to make sense of...

i need to adapt an HD After Effects credit sequence for an SD anamorphic version. the original sequence was created in After Effects at 1280x720 16:9 with square pixels. the destination was a 1080i HD sequence in FCP.

i now need to adapt the AE credit sequence for an anamorphic SD output but i am uncertain as to what my composition settings should be in After Effects.

i would most appreciate whatever insight anyone can offer.

thanks!

Duplicate the Comp in After effects and open up the comp properities. From there you can tell it to only render out as a 4x3 NTSC or PAL and then you can modify your animation so that it fills up the whole screen.

If you just want to have it appear 16x9 SD and be letterboxed on most TV's you can just set the scaling on the export (just scale it down to 720x480) and enable interlacing if you're trying to get a 60fps look.
