Down Convert Question?

Let's say that I capture with HDV 1080i and edit a whole project/sequence in this setting. If I want to then burn a regular DVD, how do I output this?

Also, someone in my class is working on a DV project but has footage on a HVR-Z1U camera that was shot in HDV. How can they capture this in regular DV.

Output using Compressor, select the MPEG 2 High Quality setting, render, and burn dvd.

As for the Sony, I'm not sure, you would either have to downconvert in camera to DV (if possible, probably best way) and then capture. Or you can capture then downconvert. It's the Long GOP frame structure that presents the problem with that.
