doubt about rendering

i got by example...40 to 50 seg of home dv camera whit 4 or 5 plugins used in the movie, like cine motion, etc,etc...and a matrox rtx100 pro, well, i heard whit this machine the render takes almost nothing to do...but when i render it take a lot of time...whit microsoft dv codex and matrox dv codec...its normal? considering the plugins there im using and the machine?

well, if you render out dv from almost dv (or even those other formats) the render will take as long as the film. if you have added several effects it will take longer (sometimes much longer-in this case try to set again the effect's properties)
