Door Peep Hole Shot?

So i want to do a shoot of someone looking threw a people whole so I want a shoot looking threw the peep hole to whoever is standing on the other side.... How do I achieve this? Is it as simple as putting my camera over the peep hole and rolling film?
 
get a very wide angle lens and then cut out a black matte to place in front of the lens to create a circular frame.
 
I was hoping that wasn't the case. I was hoping it was just stick your camera lens right up to the peep hole lol. Getting a different lens isn't really and option for me. Im shooting on an old Bolex 16mm Film camera and the budget doesn't allow for much at all haha
 
Experiment with optical elements you may place in front of the lens... since doorbell holes are **** quality to begin with... perhaps finding a large magnifying glass, fish bowl, or likewise object can get the distortion you need/ are looking for. Get creative! :)
 
While the best way is what Zak recommended I am liking Ryans idea. I think their are some distortion methods in post production you can play with. I would do some tests, starting with actually trying to shoot through the peep hole.
 
I would love it if you could put a wide angle adapter or something else on the other side of the door then shoot through the hole zoomed in. Would that work?
