Theres an extremely innapropriate topic in the DIY section... I didn't want to post in it because it is spam. Can someone delete it? I just think it's extremely innapropriate, offensive, and stupid.

I just can't believe it. It didn't happen when I used to come here every day like 3 months ago. Now that I've got alot of work I'm not so much a regular.
 
I'm really surprised at the sheer number that have been popping up too. I don't know why, but I can't say as I've really seen it elsewhere- at least not as bad. But, they are scum, and deserve to be hunted down, then beaten within an inch of their lives. Just enough to show them the light, but not quite enough to send them through.
 
Don't ignore it, use the "report this post" button (the red & white triangle, below your user name) so we mods can see those and nuke them and ban the spammer who posted it.

Nice to know that, and I'll certainly use it in the future. What I don't understand, is how these folks slip in. Maybe you should start asking for a 500 word thesis to be able to post?

I think a lot of them are spambots. There's some software ($400) that its makers claim can register and post on forums despite the catchpa and email validation. It would explain the recent increase in spam on forums generally.
