Dolly Tracks? The best material?

I've tried PVC pipe and i do not like the cuts down the middle. They usually give a bump in the movements whenever I hit that section. What type of metal tracks or pvc pipes would you suggest/do you use for very smooth gliding? I have the board and wheels - just need to buy tracks.

I have a good board with wheels...I'm curious however about the type of tracks that everyone uses...maybe ten feet of pole I can pick up at Home Depot? What do you all use?

Well the ideal stuff is the actual Matthews track - but it's pricey and not easy to transport if you don't have a truck.

I'm using 1 1/2 inch PVC for one of my dollies. I leave it at 10' and if I need to hook it together I have pretty flush seams. Offset the pipe seams though on either side and that will make a nice difference. One trick also when using PVC is to offset your wheels on your dolly so they're not even across from each other on the angle iron (if that's what you're using) - then each one takes the seam seperately. Big difference there too.
