Dolly/Tracking system recommendation

Im planning a shoot in and around very tight quarters and I want to rent a dolly, or at least a smooth tracking type of system where I can get in close to the objects im filming. Again, the objects are in a tight space.

Any thoughts about what kind of system I can rent?

If you're interested in buying instead of renting, I would recommend the IndieSnap! Flex Track system, either the full version or the pocket dolly version. It's basically a tripod dolly modified to run on flexible rubber track. Can fit into tight spaces that might limit the platform type dolly.

Is the indiesnap sturdy? does it deliver ultra smooth tracking? How big is the learning curve to operate it steadily?

NEVER EVER buy anything from INDISNAP... total scam,... you will loose all ur money...

Yes, definately as a Junior Member people will be skeptical to your opinion.

I say if you can afford it, get a Matthews Round-D-Round or RED Dolly. It'll cost you 4x as much but it'll last a lifetime and you have pro equipment from the start. If not there are many smaller dollies from various sources including

indiedolly, microdolly, cinevate, indieslider, etc

My next under $2K dolly purchase will be the indieslider. I like it's compact size and ability to give you small dollyshots, like pushing in on an actor in an intense scene and coming around a door or small object. Sure it's only 3 or 4 feet and most say you can only use about 80% of that. But most dolly shots I see are small movements. And for $500 it's great if you can't afford $10K for a "real dolly" and track. I can see myself having an indie folly forever, even when I get the pro dolly. I'd use the indie for small, quick setups and the pro for more complicated shots.

Hmmm.... how does the indie dolly stack up against cinevate's ballere? I think something with a seat is optimal so one can rack focus w/ 35mm lenses. Are there any reviews out there?

please elaborate... ?
