Dolly for C-Stands

I have a small home studio where I do a few projects. I have one of the small adjustable cheapo $70 dollies which fits a C-Stand and it is more than handy with a couple of sand bags for ballast and a smallish light. I know this dolly is pretty wimpy for this duty, but it is only for me, so I can live with it. The dolly I have is older and don't know who the maker is, but all of these cheapies are very very similar. So I want another couple of dollies. I purchased another one of the generic types from BH, and there are many of them, that are all very similar. But of course the one I purchased isn't quite large enough. None of the descriptions I have found give good dimensions.

Question: Does anyone know of a specific brand or model of economy dolly that will "for sure" fit an Avenger base?

TIA,
Grant

Mine are Avengers. No turtle base or sliding leg. Simple stands but quite robust. Though I wish they were turtle base for easier transport.

Interesting. I've never encountered a non-turtle base or sliding leg c-stand from Avenger before.

For both a plain c-stand and a sliding leg one, wheels are a very risky idea (as the legs cannot be locked into place, they simply use friction to hold them out - which could become very dangerous, very quickly if you mounted them to wheels, rolled them along, and encountered any kind of resistance.

If they were turtle base, you could simply remove the legs and secure the posts into a dolly with a junior receiver.

I think you'll need to look in alternative stands/options if you want wheels. A turtle base c-stand is the only c-stand option that's compatible with a dolly.

Grug,

Actually, my Avenger stands have very strong detents on the legs when deployed, so no movement on the legs whatsoever. It takes some real effort to fold them up. My one older existing dolly fits on my Avengers pretty well and with two sandbags, is plenty stable for how I use them. Not as good as on the ground, but good enough.

So lets get back to dolly suggestions. I may end up fabricating something if I can find a economy solution. The real deal dollys are more than 2x the price of a stand; ouch.
