Dolby AC3 Audio Question

Hi

I have a Prores .mov file and a .ac3 file which has been worked on in surround sound. I want to bring these together to produce an sd dvd. How should I do this? Should I put the two files together on a timeline in fcp and then export using compressor, choosing the DVD preset and the 5.1 ac3 preset? Do I need the ac3 preset?

just encode your prores file in compressor then import it and the .ac3 file into DVDSP and drop them into a track timeline. tada.
