Doing Research on Rising Film Hubs

Where would I find hard and soft numbers on the economic impact the film industry has had on those areas, especially looking at before and after numbers.

Writing a large proposal, and I need to show a potential parallel and would like to show numbers.

If anyone has sources or first hand anecdotes for those areas, I would appreciate hearing from you. I am reaching out to the Chamber of Commerces for those areas as well.

From a quick search of Google I have found a few studies from around the country, not just from Louisiana, New Mexico, BC. I would search through the bibliographies for further research information and take note of the nomenclature and methodologies used when drafting your proposals.

A Colorado study. It appears to have a very good bibliography:

A study of the Michigan incentives, good for methodology and nomenclature:

A Texas study comparing their media production environment to others across the country. Seems pretty good.

A study on Louisiana, seems pretty comprehensive.

Another look at Louisiana:

You also might be able to pull raw data from the U.S. Census Bureau:

and the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

You may want to go the government websites of Louisiana, New Mexico, BC and see if they have raw economic data you can use.

Good luck.
