Doing my first "big" shoot

I have to shoot a pretty big award ceremony this coming Saturday. I will have at my disposal (1) HVX-200 and (1) DVX100b. Could you guys give me some suggestions on camera setup as well as audio setup? I guess my main fear is that something awful will happen and I won't get anything. :crybaby:

How are you setting this up? I'm assuming you're going to mix SD and HD. I'd say put the HVX at FOH and the dvx close up, you'll maximize your images that way. If you're shooting SD for both cameras, then it doesn't matter which is FOH and which is up close, although the HVX is supposed to have a wider angle with no barrel distortion so FOH for the HVX might be best either way.

Are you tapping into a mixer? Or are you recording your audio through the on-board mics?

Have you had a chance to check out the venue you're shooting in? Get there way early to set up so if you run into problems before hand, you'll be ready.

Good luck!
