doing a video of my band

hi guys i couldnt see a `noob` forum so i thought id put this here im looking to do a video for my band ive got access to a couple of proper video lights also got access to a location as well, i want to make the video two fold, basically a performance video, using all the gear we have in our permanent rehearsal room, interspersed with footage from a metal fabricators factory, gas axes and welders and grinders etc all going off.
For the performance part i wanted to do a green screen setup so i could replace the background of our rehearsal studio (porn :thumbup with video of all kinds of mayhem and destruction etc, how difficult would this be to get it looking decent? id be using vegas movie studio. any tips or help or pointers gratefully recieved many thanks!!
