DOF Test Clip...

Re: DOF Test Clip...

THat's some good imagery. Yeah, the focus is a little off sometimes, but you have a good eye. I like the stuff with the glass, and the flower at the end. Looks good, keep at it.

Re: DOF Test Clip...

Good on ya, you've got the depth of field concept down.

Now, here's the deal: DOF is just a tool in the arsenal of the filmmaker. There is a 'language' to cinematography, and we all understand it intuitively. The director and the camera operator have to understand this language, and craft your message using this language.

Simply speaking, rack focus allows the filmmaker to compel audience attention from one subject to another in a single shot. So you need to concentrate on using DOF as a method of making your audience to contemplate the elements of your story, on a timetable of your own choosing.

Let's see more!

Thanks for the response, guys... No, i did not use an adapter... i only zoomed in..
I know that stuff about DOF and attracting the attention to one place, but this was my first test of the camera and i just wanted to see what kind of DOF i could get out of it...
