Does Vegas have H.264 access? I'm not fully understanding this setting but have read where people are using it as an import or export????

H.264 is a highly compressed codec.
Sony Vegas can read it and write (use Sony AVC or Mainconcept AVC renderers)

Yup, I've been writing .h264 files via the Mainconcept renderer, with no complaints from people then reading them. As it is so highly compressed, it's not an ideal import format re quality, but it certainly makes nicely compact output.

I'm really impressed by the h.264 renders out of Vegas. Tiny and high quality.
