I can check when I get home... I just upgraded (wiped the drive and did a clean install, actually) and I installed FCP X and FCP 7... but I rarely use either so I didn't think to open either of them after I re-installed them. I'd imagine FCP7 works fine... 10.10 is not a major overhaul from 10.9... you'll probably only really start to see problems when Apple changes file systems or stops supporting 32bit apps.

alex-

if you could follow up with the fcp7 inquiry, i would be most appreciative.

if you can open up an older fcp7 using yosemite, that would also be a great help.

i owe you a coffee!

be well.

FCP7 + Yosemite (10.10) works just fine for me. Opened up an older project... no problems, everything works.

Quick update. Motion 4 does not work with Yosemite. You'll have to use Motion 5... which means no round tripping between Motion and FCP7
