Does Vegas Recognize USB Connection?

A family member has one of those Mini DVD camcorders and they want me to edit stuff for them, but the camcorder has no Fire wire connection. I connect the USB connection, but Vegas don't recognize it...

Is there a way I can get it to recognize it so I can upload the footage? I'm using Vegas 6 by the way.

You can try File>Import>DVD Camcorder Disc -- but I don't recall if 6 had that option or not.

Ok David, as always thanks for the help, I will try this. I think I may still be the only one using Vegas 6

No shame in 6 -- it was the last relatively bugless build (though it did have a few issues).

I was able to download a driver for the camcorder online. Soon as I installed the driver, Vegas recognize the camcorder.
