Hi all:

Does Vegas Pro 9 include any noise reduction or audio restoration tools without shelling out another $300.00 for the Noise Reduction plug-in? I can only see the usual tools (EQ and EFX plug-ins) on th Sony website.

Thanks,

Dan

Yes! And it can work great depending on the material you have to fix. It is in the normal audio FX menu. It is called: ExpressFX Audio Restoration.

Set the noise floor first, cutting off weaker sounds. You can set how much to diminish them by with Reduce Noise by. Then you can tweak with the rest.

Thanks for that Roberto. They don't really go into much detail on that on the website, instead, of course, encouraging you to shell out the extra bucks for the plug-in.

Thanks, Roberto, I'd never seen that before. Not as flash as Noise Reduction, obviously, but still looks useful for many situations.
