does 'search' actually work?

I did some searching in the premiere forum for words like 'shake', 'jittery', and 'filter', all of which came up with results posted ONLY within the last week. I find it hard to believe that the word 'filter' in the premiere forum has not been mentioned before this week. And yes, I had it set on 'any date'. Is this search engine reliable?

Ya know, I was trying to search for the "Day After Tomorrow" thread in the Film Discussion section the other day, and didn't get any hits.

...bizarre.

You too bud! That's pretty slick.

(Your ava looks like Wolvie put on a few years... that's incongruous with what I've read in the comics.)

I PMd Jarred, and he's aware of it. He said he intends to migrate the old search DB over, but wanted to wait until the V6 upgrade was stable.

I agree that has been a major pain but you know what sometimes works, try doing the search query in Google and add the word dvxuser, this has worked for me in the past, however, now that they changed over to V6 you apparently can't just swap out the V3 with V6 in the url, seems that they no longer point to the same articles.

Try this: Google search dvxuser + me66

the first result returned is an article on dvxuser:

www.dvxuser.com/V3/archive/index.php/t-21548.html (tells you to change to V6, AND it also says "some things are still a little off but ill get to em.")

...but if you just swap out the V3 with V6 you get an entirely different article:

http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/archive/index.php/t-21548.html
