Does FCP 4.5 HD support P2

Does anybody know if FCP 4.5 HD support P2? One of the production companies I work for just supprised me with a new HVX200........... WOW! I have FCP 4.5
I would like to upgrade to Studio 5 but need more money.
 
I don't think 4.5 has any P2 support, but I could be wrong about that. Go to file->import and see if there's an option for Panasonic P2.

If not, you can still use 4.5 in a limited fashion, you could capture the data streaming through the firewire port.

But by all means upgrade to 5.0.4 as soon as you can.
 
Thanks Barry for the reply. I talked to apple today and only FCP 5 supports P2. I found ou that Apple has a new upgrade program for those of us using 4.5.
