Does breathing count as sound effects?

I hired a sound effects artist to finish a movie mostly because I don't have time before the release date, and am busy with voices and ADR mainly. Would breathing be considered her job though? If not I can put it all the breathing sounds myself but it would take some more time.

Generally speaking if your adding breathing sounds it would be FX. However it would almost certainly be done in Foley and not cut by hand from recordings. Practically in your situation it might be a lot faster, if she doesn't have a Foley or VO room, to do a breathing pass when your set up to do ADR.
