Does anyone use Irivers anymore?

I do weddings and use a Sennhesier G2 on the groom, but I really need to get some audio from the minsiter/preacher and readers during a ceremony as well. Even if I could afford to get 3-4 more G2s or G3s, I don't think I could keep up with monitoring 3 to 4 signals during a ceremony anyways.

I notice a few years back a lot of people were using irivers as alternatives to a wireless lav. Does anyone still use these, or is there a better alternative now? I like the small size of these for micing the minister. But for the readers I could go with something larger on the podiums, if it is better quality.

Thanks Ullanta. I had an H4N, but sold it and am looking into maybe an edirol for my wireless. Do you have any recommendations for deck of card size or smaller? Or could you point me in the direction of one of those threads?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to also solve this problem too. I need to have several tracks recording but I have time in post to sync up so I don't need to carry a 4ch field mixer and wireless equipment, let alone the several thousands this would cost to accomplish.

In most instances I have my anchor with a guest or two, and I can always have my anchor hooked up with a lav mic, and holding an ENG handheld mic. I'm thinking about getting a set of small recorders to rig up with a belt clip like a wireless lav transmitter, and have my anchor carry the recorders with her.

My primary concerns, beyond the obvious issue of not being able to check levels remotely, is to find a recorder that will be A) lightweight on the belt, B) have good hard buttons that won't accidentally get pressed with clothes/bumped up against, and C) have a good connector port that is strong (XLR ideally of course, but these units are often too big to conceal on a woman).

I am thinking about the following options:
Ikey G3 - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/650647-REG/Ikey_Audio_G_3_G3_Portable_USB_Instrument.html
Tascam DR-2d - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/673339-REG/Tascam_DR_2D_DR_2d_Portable_Digital_Recorder.html
Zoom H2n - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/811053-REG/Zoom_ZH2N_H2n_Handy_Recorder_Portable.html
Tascam PR-10 - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/729221-REG/Tascam_PR_10_PR_10_Portable_Digital_Audio.html

Thoughts are appreciated, or any other tips on working this way too. Speaking of, what would you call this?
