documents needed for distributor

Hey guys,

There was a great thread in here a while back with an extensive list of all the docs and info you need prepared after you've finished your film, to have ready when going out to sell the film. I can't seem to find it. I have a meeting with a distributor this week and I want to be prepared. Can someone either help me find that thread or provide me a link to a checklist of all the necessary docs needed for distributor?

Thanks!

They will usually have their own list for you... but usually all clearances, music queue sheet, subtitle track, dialog sheet of who says what when (spot dialog list), then a variety of masters and submasters for domestic and foreign - PAL, NTSC, letterbox, anamorphic, etc.

Thanks, that's not quite what I meant. All that is easy, I mean more the clearances, there's a detailed list of that somwhere on dvx. hmm. anyone?

You're going to need all crew deal memos, Talent Agreements, Extra Releases, Location releases, Writers Agreements and Copyright Certificate for the script, Director Agreements , Music Licenses and Composer Agreement as well as any product clearances. E&O Certificate. Plus all the "easy" stuff including Key Art, and up to 100 production stills, trailer. It really depends on the distributor but you can figure all of the above minimum. Plus everything MichaelP mentioned. They want to make real sure no one comes out of the wood work wanting a cut of the money when the film hits the shelf.
Good luck
