After shooting a documentary on the HVX200 tips that i learned. Shooting endless hours with the hvx became troublesome using small p2 cards until i picked up the citidisk HD drive. I would not recommend it for everyone but after learning its funkies, it became easier to use. there was no card dumping. Another think i found very useful was the Foxy electronic follow focus system. check out trailer go to this link to watch it www.golddiggin4loveofmoney.com tell me what you think. at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6_ZR6zFCLI

looks interesting... i didnt really feel the intro screen.

did you shoot 24 on the hvx or 60i? looks like 60i to me....

Thanks for sharing! I have shot three feature length documentaries on the HVX and couldn't imagine doing it with P2 cards. When I started, the only cards that were available were the 4 and 8gb, and so I purchased the Firestore. It's been a great combination, especially for long winded interviewees. We routinely shot four or more interviews per-day, and not once, did we have to swap cards or offload the firestore.

That said, the 4-pin firewire connection requires you to be a bit careful if you're out shooting b-roll, or if you're hand-held.

Your doc looks pretty entertaining... would love to know if/when it might screen in Seattle, or when it's released.
