Documentary Community in New York City area?

Does anyone know of any formal or informal community of documentary film makers in the New York City area?
I'm looking to meet with other film makers to support, critique, inspire, motivate one another.
 
mopictive.org often has a lot of documentary filmmakers at our monthly meetings. You can also look into IFP.
 
Forgot to add, there are a couple of meetups in the NYC area that might be worth looking into. Go to meetup.com and do a search.

Hi Danny. Not many formal or informal meetups for doc in NYC that I know about -- but I'm a bit of a loner anyway :) Most of my contacts I have met on jobs or just "around", i.e. cafes, cinemas, film fests etc. I live in Queens near Williamsburg/Greenpoint BK so I hang around those neighborhoods a lot and occasionally meet someone (the other day a couple of filmmakers overheard me talking about Premiere Pro in a cafe, so we struck up a conversation) If you want to chat shoot me an IM here.
