DOCTOR WHO tonight..

But In my opinion It was perfectly executed, or almost.. (as was expected)

One shot that annoyed me was when they were filming a scene where they stepped inside the TARDIS. And you could clearly see it was just the box.. and not the TARDIS interior. Mainly because you saw the line between the floor and the background screen they have on the inside. Anyway, was my only complaint I think.

Matt's doctor was a few moves up the ladder from Tennant. A lot more complaining and wacky. Very very cheeky, and will do anything that's needed. I caught the confidential, and a keen aye told me that theres a very deep Story Arc already building. So I'll have to go back over the episode on Sky + at some stage and look closer at that.

The companion is truly something. Her motivations and the reasoning for being how she is, is very satisfactory to watch. It's easy to connect.

Matt & Karen have been down here for the past three days promoting in the town and headed back up to Cardiff today. They've been lingering around over the past months filming. And I am Totally gunned for this now.

Furthermore, Spitfires in Space.. this is all coming from one of the writers thats been working with Steven Spielberg on TinTin. What more do you want?

Overall I'm really looking forward to Episode 2.

Apparently very creepy, with a touch of 1000% unique original plot twists

Is that early for over there?

In previous years has America had it after the season finishes here, or start a few weeks behind?

Depends who was carrying it. When Sci Fi (now SyFy) carried it, we wouldn't get it until the season was finished in the UK. Now it's carried by BBC America, and we seem to get it only a bit behind the original airing. For the final Tenant episodes, I believe they were run only a day behind.

A fun episode. And Patrick Moore (astronomer and TV host at 87 yrs old) has a cameo! Karen Gillan makes a great companion.

I didn’t like it, maybe it just takes me a while to get used to change.
I thought the new doctor was all over the place trying to copy what his predecessors had done and wasn’t a mature enough actor to carve out his own take on The Doctor. Also the "brb in 5 min ok? WTF its 10 years later!" skit is getting old. And another thing, the doctor has good ties with UNIT, and he has to hack into a call with NASA and a bunch of bankers?
And lastly, I hate this Steve Job's Reality Distortion Field, where the writers put all of the earth in contact with aliens, and then the next day, people are still asking "are we alone in the universe?"

And one more thing lol, the new doctor's caveman face just reminds me of Peter Greene, and not in a good way, in the way that I think to myself "Hey, when did the evil mask become pink skinned?"

I didn't think it was all that unique. Seemed to be more of the same kind of thing they've done over and over since they revived the series, especially the "I'm the Doctor: check me out!" and then the alien flees in terror. True, they did it better, but it was still the same kind of thing.

I was hoping that the redone TARDIS would be closer to the pre-Davies series, less alien, less confusing, fewer things like antique typewriters and old hand brakes. More technological. Better in keeping with the series as a whole.

This guy has an interesting take:

And I especially like this one:

Now, I loooooove me some Daleks. But man, enough with the Daleks already.

I do like Matt Smith. Remains to be seen if Pond shows the gusto of the other recent companions. I think Donna was my fav of the new series.
