Do your clients care, what camera you use?

7D for in house stuff. Rental otherwise. If the client cares enough to specify then I rent.

I'm still surprised how much life I'm getting out of my DVX... Used it as an XLR pre-amp and phantom power to line level in a pinch to a multicamera shoot last week. On a whim I put a DV tape in and hit record. As it turned out the audio coming out of the board was recorded distorted and my trusty old DVX who was just along for the ride save the shoot.

Hmm...sounds like someone recorded a line level signal via the mic input.

Yup. It was a learning experience for some. Luckily I had the backup audio...
