Do you use Google?

Well... why not use the google search through Isara instead?

So I have Isara as my homepage in an effort to do that absolute least I can do to help out our resident saint PK.
If you're unfamiliar with Isara then go to Isara.org to see the great work they're doing.

Thing is I've always been really bad about still going back to google to do my searches - only because I use the built in search window in firefox out of habit.

Well just today I found out that Isara has a Firefox toolbar that you can add VERY easily, so that any search made through the build in search box goes through isara's google search (thus generating traffic for isara, and in turn helping to fund charity projects that help out countless people).

I'd urge any and all of you using Firefox to go ahead and do this if you use the built in search box. Here's how:

STEP 1:
Go to Isara.org

STEP 2:
Use the pulldown menu on the search box in the upper righthand corner and choose "Add Isara.org"

THAT'S IT.

Now you can search for whatever you want......

And the Google results will show up on Isara's page (complete with a simultaneous image search)

Figured I'd pass it on.
I found it to be a really handy and easy way for all of us to help out a DVXuser member with some fantastic charity work....

...unless of course you'd rather just give Google more money.
:)

I've been doing this for a long time. I'm glad you posted this, because a lot of people don't know how easy it is to support a good cause.

That's a question for PK - I just took a look in safari and I couldn't see a clear way to do it.
Then again I didn't know I could do this in Firefox until PK told me this morning.

Of course, the real question is why are you using safari?
:)

(by the way, hope you had a great birthday, Zak)

I've had isara set up as my homepage on my girlfriends and my computers for some time. i will know add this feature as well! thanks Luis and PK

Wont work? I just get Recent Searches greyed out.

No "Add Isara" function.

Mind you, I'm using Safari and never in my life will I use Firefox.

thanks luis. i use safari because it seems a touch faster at loading pages. I remember when firefox was super fast, but it's gotten pretty bloated lately) and I prefer how it scrolls pages. firefox is chunky and safari is smooth. i know firefox has a smooth scrolling feature you can enable but i don't like the way it ramps down to a stop after you stop scrolling. safari is smooth and stops scroling right when you stop.

If Safari uses tabs then you can setup Isara.org as a tab and just flip to it whenever you need to search.

Thanks.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you shop on Amazon, you can give Isara a 6% commission without it costing you anything. Just click on the "amazon" link in Isara's lower right corner. Then shop as normal, all the prices stay the same, but Isara gets an affiliate commission.
