Do you own the Sachtler Dr Bag 4?

Hi!

I'm looking into buying the Sachtler Dr Bag 4 but I have a question about the actual internal height of the bag.

Looking at the bag it seems there is at least a little bit of leeway with the height. But how much? The specs say the internal height is 20 cm / 7.9" but at the same time the external height is stated as 38.5cm / 15.2". My camera set up measures 27cm at the highest point.

Length 50cm / 20"
Width 25cm / 10"
Height 27cm / 11"

Attached an image so you get the idea why I think my camera might fit in this bag. I'm inquiring here since there are no shops near me selling the bag and I will have to order online.

Would really appreciate your advice!

When I was looking for Doctor Bags for my built FS7 I had a hard time finding anything tall enough, & ended up with Tenba’s Cineluxe Shoulder Bag 24, but I think my camera build is taller than yours

The Tenba bag states exterior dimensions as 36 cm which is even less then the Dr bag 4’s 38,5cm. So Im curious why Tenba has interior dimension specs as 33cm versus Dr bag 4’s 20cm.

Pretty sure I have the DR4 at work (might be the 5 though). The height only just fits the handle on top of our JVC HM700chu cameras, which seems to have a spec of 24cm so you might be OK with it. But length wise is going to be tight.
