Do I Need to Convert My Footage?

I shoot on the Sony a6500 & edit in Premiere on a PC

I was just wondering if I need to be converting the footage to DNx.
From what I understand it lets me edit easier.

BUT, if you're shooting so much footage, it will take a really long time to convert into a DNx.
So, is it worth it in the end?

If the answer is yes, HOW?
If shooting 24fps in 4K & 120fps in 1080p.
What DNx preset do you use for retaining the best quality

I wasnt sure if premiere would handle Sonys codec as good as a DNx file
But if its all good, then that makes things easier
