Do i need a sescom cable with the tascam dr70

It depends...
What is the audio out level of your mixer / recorder?
What is the audio required input level of your camera?
Whats the difference?
Do you need to drop the level?
If so by how much?
How would you like to do the variation? active / passive?
There is more than one maker of such a cable?.... Why Sescom?
How have other people solved the problem?

for the moment, i connect a 3.5mm ordinary cable from the "LINE OUT" of the tascam dr70 to the MIC INPUT of the camera.

There is an option in the menu of the tascam called "OUTPUT GAIN OPTION" :
1- i can choose "LINE"
2- i can also choose "CAM", the tascam will send a mic level to the cam mic input.

So i choose cam.

As in the video here (at 9min8sec) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol64lDglcfI

Do i still need the sescom cable ?

Thank you in advance,
