Do I need a nice new G5 or is my G4 533 still ok?

Dear Folks:

I can get a pretty sweet deal on a G5 2.0 Dual from my university... one of the old 2.0's not the new ones with the 8x superdrive. But that's two grand outta my pocket. It leaves less money to spend on a DVX and the movies that follow...

But really, isn't my 533 Mhz getting a little long in the tooth?

Well, two grand will buy you a brand new dual 1.8 GHz *with* the 8x Superdrive.

I gotta UCLA deal for an old version 2.0 Dual for 1899... Wouldn't I be crazy to pass it by?

Rumor has it that the dual-2ghz is buggy...lots of complaints about the video card. Thats from a friend at one apple store. My friend at the other apple store said he hasn't come across any problems with it at all.

Still the best deal now is the dual 1.8ghz and if I wasn't saving for a dvx100a I would get one.
