Do Flo Reflectors Age?

I just got a "deal" on a B-stock FloLight. Opened it up, housing looks good, couple of screws missing, easy fix. However, the barn door reflective panels look kind of pinkish and the lamp reflector definitely looks greenish. Does aluminum tarnish or change color with age under fluorescent light?

Are you sure there isn't a protective film on them? Our barndoors come with a protective film on them that is pinkish and has to be taken off by the customer. I would imagine FloLights has a similar idea since we all use the same types of mirrored aluminum.

Oh man, you are right.
that film was so well adhered that it was indistinguishable (at least to my eyes). picked at the edges for a while and sure enough........what a bonehead.
thanks for the "enlightenment" Richard.
