DNxHD and Vegas 9

I am editing a wedding shot on the HMC40 and needed to go to an intermediate format, so I decided to give DNxHD a try. I used TMPEGEnc 4.0 Xpress to do the batch conversion. I noticed that the blacks got a little crushed coming into vegas, so I created a preset in TMPEGEnc that washes my blacks out a little on purpose so that when I bring the footage into Vegas it is at the same level as the original footage.

I loved how smooth and real-time everything was, I think this is going to be my new work flow unless I am missing something that you guys might be aware of that I should know.
 
Me either. DNxHD is going to be pretty slow for any Vegas user without an assist. And DNxHD is not crushing the blacks, you're converting color spaces incorrectly somewhere.
