DJI Ronin in place of Jib?

[Omar N]

Hello!

I am wondering if the DJI Ronin can replace a Jib for someone like me who does most shooting while traveling and would like to get good stable jib-like shots with a portable unit. I am willing to buy a jib if I have to, but for me the issue is not money, rather travel. I like to carry as little as possible, and I am just wondering if I can get the same results with the DJI Ronin as I could with a jib such as the porta-Jib.

All advice realy appreciated. Thank you!
Omar

You could probably get something similar, ofc your travel height would be restricted by your own height and arm length, and for some that would mean the difference.
Practice makes perfect but in my case I would want to go a bit heigher than the 2 metres I would max out at including stretched arms

The other issue... I can do jib moves all day. But I run out of steam after a short time using devices like the Ronin.
