DJI Lightbridge

I've seen a Lightbridge in the flesh, it's a very small compact until on the copter end, I used a GH3 for a quick test on a preview unit (not in flight alas) but the clarity and colour reproduction seemed very good indeed, there was a slight wave in the video towards the bottom but it could be a glitch with that unit or the early firmware but it looks very promising offering 1080p with the right aerial up to 3.1 miles!

A good friend has a LightBridge incorporated into a Phantom 2 and it is impressive indeed. I was astonished at the picture quality.

something that's not advertised is that it can feed up to 8 receivers for each transmitter. These just started shipping.

Curious to know how much drain the lightbridge places on the Phantoms battery.

Can the lightbridge be used for live broadcast TV? The on screen flight data would have to be off. I use a Sony Pj790. is the quality and stability good enough? I would be flying within 500metres

The quality and stability is fine from what I've seen. Personally, just for peace of mind if I was to install a Lightbridge I'd also have an analogue back up too.
