I would love to know if anyone thinks a 1DXII can be used. Weight wise I think it can be. Will be carefully looking at this before buying.

Should be more than capable for the 1dx mark II. I would really love to see if it could stand a RED DSMC2 bare bones on it. Now that would be a game changer! Currently only one handheld gymbal can stand it. The Title can't.

Finally. Yes, there has been many videos showing the Ronin S with a 1Dx mkII. Nothing will magically make the 1Dx mkII lighter, so it will still be "heavy" when held in front of the body for longer periods of time. But being able to just put it down on its stand and the much smaller footprint compared to the Ronin M will make it a very nice companion. Will also be perfect for the BMPCC4K when it launches.

Easy buy.

I'm wondering about the C200. I am also wondering if DJI will have the firmware sorted out by the time it is released. It has been a couple of years since I bought any of their products so I don't know if they have improved on that front.

Not really. Their stuff is usually somewhat buggy for the first month to three months.

They are filling a missing piece in their product line for a specific (very popular) group...they are running a business.

The test footage they have is terrible. Looks like they don't know how to balance the gimbal or it's just that bad. Lots of micro jitters. Come on DJI.

I don't think I want to be the first one on my block to own this. I want it to be good but I don't like to pay to be a beta tester.

If you're actually making movies, who cares, don't buy the gimbals. If you're at the mercy of the people hiring you dictating your equipment choices, you probably have to own some type of gimbal.

At the now gargantuan lower end, instead of separating yourself with a distinct style, the goal is to create footage that looks exactly the same as everyone else's. These single handed gimbals help you do that.

I'm winding back the clock and will be buying a glidecam soon.

I will probably get a lot of sh*t for this but I'm wondering...
Will it fit totally stripped down with only lightest battery and pancake or very small lens.. FS7? Payload wise it should be ok.

All of the single hand gimbals have those jitters and on the dji it's actually the least of them. Comparing to others even from that footage it's looks pretty good for such a hassle free system.

A lot of scepticism here, imo it's a steal for 699 dollars. Built quality will be propably top notch, the only problem I see is that weight.

Yeah, I know. I just wish that they did something, you know, innovative. They certainly have with their drones.

The thing I don't like with most of these handheld gimbals is the build quality. At this point, the newish models all seem to work equally well. DJI brings new features that will work with accessories that will come out later. I like the record trigger option plus GH5 users willl be able to pull focus with compatable lenses. It is on the heavy side.

I think one thing needs to be considered. Since I own original Zhiyun Crane and I am using it a lot I can tell you, that this thing is way better than Ronin M. I had Ronin M as well and I had so much problems with micro jitters. But that said, I have much more experience with Crane so I know how to properly work with it. I know its limitation and mainly, I know how to operate!

Everybody thinks it is just balance it a motors do all the job, but thats not true. Recently I was producing TV series about running and I was shooting it on A7III with Crane. My shots after hour of running were way more stable than shots of most of many reviewers.

About FS7 and similar cameras. The biggest problem is, even though you are able to balance it, gimbal is limited when it comes to movement. You are basically able to do just walk in/out shots. If you are fine with that, than it could work.

The world has been searching in vain, NOBODY makes one-handed gimbals. The things that pass for innovation these days.

Indeed—not first to market with this product.

Hopefully DJI can bring their X7 into the handheld realm. If you could invest in the X7 + lenses and move it seamlessly between a drone and a handheld solution, I think that would be pretty innovative.

But the more I fly with my Mavic Air, the less interest I have in the larger drones. I'd be all for a product twice the size of a Mavic Air (but same form factor) with silent props, proper wireless and beefed up IQ/DR.

Get a Kinefinity Terra 4K instead! ;-) Even smaller than a DSMC2 body, you could run it on this gimbal.
