DIY Softbox for Cool Lights LED600

Even though I like the convenience of just zipping a flozier around the Diva´s barndoors, a simple sheet of WD fixed to the barndoors, gives the same effect in this case.
On the LED600 it ain´t much of a difference.
A custom softbox with a larger diffusion surface, would be more effective for softening...

Yes of course, but different people have different needs or preferences. We'll do the flozier and we'll also do a 24 x 24 softbox (with grid) like we do for our 200w flo and fresnels too. That's the really big source for those that prefer their softlight emanating from the larger source. We'll also do a filter panel set as soon as we can find an accomodating manufacturer to do it right.

That covers all the bases and just about what everyone would want or need.

Hi Richard,

I love coolights products...only one problem...everytime we want to purchase one of your hard lights (the 575 and 1200watts HMI) they are 90% of the time out of stock. We have been wanting to purchase 2x 575 and a 1200 all at the same time but they seem to rarely be available at the same time =)....and now they are out until June 30th...bummer. :crybaby: They must really be popular! Keep up the good work on your products!

Yes I know what you mean. Some people watch what we're doing like a hawk and the minute they see something in stock they pounce on it. A lot of people also keep in touch with me via email to see whats going on and that's another way some get stuff reserved very early on.

Right now we're taking a break on the 575w/1200w front and waiting for some developments there in ballasts available to us. I'm not going to talk about that right now though, we'll wait a bit until we're ready.

While waiting for that, we're working on the 400w CDM cold start model which is sure to be a super product and almost up there in output like a 575w so just about as good. Probably will come out in the $799 range or so. I'm also using this time to work on more LED products as well.

Richard,

Any chance you are going to develop a ringlight in the next year or so? The Litepanels option seems prohibitively expensive for most at $2,000+, while other models are severely underpowered. Kino Flo has a flourescent ringlight but it doesn't have the same control as the LED options.
