DIY reflector

Hi guys,

i 'ld like to know what peoples experiences are with DIY reflectors. Which ones are best ? And does this count in all situations ? Are there differences in foam ? Can you add some reflecting spray on it ? Do they reflect hard lightbeams like a mirror would do or some aluminiumfoile. Are there solutions for the golden reflector for a warm look.

Lots of questions. An answer to one of them would help me a lot !

thanks

I know you are looking for a "DIY" styro, but a good start would be a 150cm 5in1 foldable reflector from the photography section of the most famous online auction site...
Should be around 25€...

Nah. Too unwieldy and uncontrollable. You can angle it, but not tilt. A piece of foam would be better.

On a side note, some of those screens use scotchlite reflective beads that bounce the light back to the camera. I've used those draped in a curve to make a very easy to light white cyc screen for small product shots...
