Go to the DIY section and follow the 35 adapter threads and all will make sence my little grasshoppers.

Dan, we must team up on something. :Drogar-Evil(DBG):
Team up on what?
Who are you? Pull off your yellow mask so I can see thy face first! (and if that's not e mask, I am in trouble!) rotf.

Mask? I've been told I have a "great personality".:crybaby:

I was talking about the "creature" that you choose (on the left)
All I know about you is that you go by PJC, have one tooth and you are yellow (with a nice smile). Not enough to convince me to team up with you. (got claws?)

Forget this thread. Carry on.
Well, now I'm seeing what I have done...:2vrolijk_08:

What do you think, Dan? We can carry on here or we are going to another :kali: peaceful serious tech-talk place?

Oh boy... did I got you coming and going.... rotf.
I thought this is the purpose of the "cafe" : some ideas, some gossip.....
I had my fun for today (thank you) so here is a hint about "what";
Someone posted an another thread about being king or so. I mentioned a king is not a king without a crown (that's the prop tooth) and having to "install" it (as DYI project)
I keep rotf here..............
As xl70e3 linked, there: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showpost.php?p=457256&postcount=218

Excuse me but... when did the "coronation" took place? (and where):costumed-smiley-047
You're right! You are the King -- your footage speaks for yourself...

...and Jonathan is the Prince -- not the singer, I hope!... :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
Thus, I'm taking my own responsibilities :bath:

So ... you wish for a Sony formula huh? Is that a B4 mount or no? I have a relay lens just didn’t have the time to play with it.
2/3" chip B4 mount lens@1/2" CCD it will work as 1.34x magnification factor. It's available an adapter to that from Sony. So, maybe it will be interesting, as well.

But my idea is the 35mm cheap still lenses -- Nikkor or Canon mounts. And for sure without any magnification factor. With it there is an affordable adapter from Century Optics. But with it we will have only tele. And if I'm not wrong only with tele-objectives because, despite the magnification factor, the others will not have the same shallow DOF than a true tele. Which in that case, there will have always a magnification factor with its use, of course. So, we are talking about super-tele and not a regular one. Besides that shallow DOF is so much interesting with wide-angle, indeed.

Then, I'd like to get very shallow DOF but with enough quality to 35mm film-out@big_screen. I've been in touch with Jonathan about that interest but perhaps he's more interested in 1/3" chip small camcorders. But as your work is more PRO oriented, what's your offer?

That's not what I was talking about. I had in mind the classical "relay" lens to get the pic off the screen on the 1/2" CCD so you can get the look of SLR lenses (including SDOF on wides)

Sorry Dan. But I got your point: that's non-1.34x magnification factor, right? And that's cool! That's what I said:

...but I should say: «it would be interesting...» and now with your rectification concerning the magnification factor that doesn't exist@yours.

I'm thinking in the Canon's ACV-235:

I'm doing consulting to feature arthouse production here in Europe by these days and this can be an excellent combo if we're thinking that it's possible to get 1920x1080@2.35 without crop (Did you see Dogville?...and you can understand why this is important when we aren't@Star_Wars CGI set).

However, I'm looking for an affordable solution with 35 still lenses as your magnificent (not magnification ) device allows. With the 1/2" chip Sony's XDCAM-HD series, as well?

I'm far away and for sure my written english is not the same that the spoken one, so if you agree, I'd like to change some conclusions here or in another written place if you wish...but I'm thinking that you catch my feeling and my needs.

I know the Steev's footage -- amazing tool. And I'd like to know if you will have it to these cam's configuration.

PS - As we can see, the playground is over -- these dvxuser.com members know when it is play time and the reverse. So, regarding this concern if I'm not wrong, they're just fairly watching us.

Make a directly-mountable relay lens for a 1/2" or 2/3" Sony-type B4 mount and I'll BUY IT faster than you can say, "shallow-depth-of-field on a pro camera with no zoom lens optics to go through!"
