DIY or portable soundbooth experiences

I was curious if anyone had any experience or insight into DIY or portable soundbooths?

It would be for VO work, and possibly for vocal tracks for some amateur music. I have the mics and recording equipment, I just need the enclosure. I'd be willing to spend a few hundred on it, but of course the cheaper solution the better.

Has anyone heard anything about products like these:

I read once that doing a recording inside of a luxury car in your garage would yield a good recording, since they are well designed for acoustics. Seems crazy enough to be true. Anyone tried it?

Look into buying "moving blankets" and making a PVC frame like the one that markertek sells.. Thats a cheap DIY way I would think.....
