DIY motorized slider

Very nice design! Everything very clean, and extremely clever use of materials. I especially like the rod supports! I have always liked designs where most of the parts can be bought at the home-supply store. Those look like the Lintech rails and bearing blocks I used to use for analog motion graphics. I had to leave the screws a little loose on one of the sides to allow for bowing in the rods.

Thanks Bill. I put 16mm rods and they not bend a lot, but I left the screws on bearings slightly tightened, because in this way a slider better "slides"!

Thanks guys. Epsom salt-I'm making a new version of the slider so I can´t photograph the system synchronization but the principle is that, on the shaft of the engine, put the smaller pulley to run the slider plate and bigger pulley to run handle of video heads. The bigger pulley gives more linear velocity of the timing belt what resulting in rotation of the video heads in the direction opposite to the movement of the slider plate. For example, if the slider plate goes to the right, the video head is rotated to the left, because the speed of a timing belt, which drives the bigger pulleys, is bigger then speed of the timing belt which moves the slider plate, which is on the smaller pulley.
Sorry for bad english, I hope you understand the principle. When I finish new version of slider, I will put photos here!
