I wonder what DIY projects do you know about concerning portable LED lights.
One way to deal with this matter is to adapt existing products, which is certainly the easier way and what I have been trying till now. What supply is being used and what LED type was selected is critical, as that will determine an unflickering and high intensity/not too blue throw light quality to it.
The other is to pick the parts and build from them, which is a more DIY, more predictable, but very hard to go through. OTOS you can pick parts like Luxeon LEDs, which you just find in expensive pro video lights, and build from them.
Light tint (spectrum) and reach seem to be the more difficult problems to deal with in existing products, and I wonder if someone did compare affordable options around.
