DIY Jib

Hey guys, just would like to show you my new jib which I built in 1 week. It looks like the kessler crane but i wasn't able to make a handle for manual tilting of the camera because I used the speaker tripod here (the base doesn't move). I spent around $130.00 for this project. It's made of aluminum square tubing and I think it's pretty sturdy. It's almost done basically, i just have to paint it with flat black color. Let me know what you guys think.

Here are the materials used:

2 pcs. 8' aluminum square tubing
1/4" nuts and bolts
cables
eyes and hooks
and some other aluminum materials

Tools used:

drill
drill bit-1/4", 5/16" and 1/2"
wrench
metal hacksaw
screwdriver
table mount visegrip

Hi bmxbud, I drilled a 1/2" hole to the aluminum bracket (same size as the tube and should be 1 side only to prevent it from sliding to the bottom.

very nice. I would never try that.

Hi filthrich, thanks! It's worth it and it feels good if you see your work afterwards.
