DIY Jib Under $20

I made this jib after looking at several online. It is not a finished product though. I have some re-work to do on it. But for now it works pretty good. 2 8' 1"x2" ($2.25 each) 1 8' 2"x4" ($1.98) 1 3/4" L bracket ($3.75) a old lighting stand and some old weights. Note again this isn't the finished product, still doing some testing, I will update with changes when finished.

I took those pictures yesterday, it was 56 and sunny. Today it is 17 with sleet and snow.
I will get her out and do some video of it on the next possible day and post it. I have some footage inside the garage during testing, but it is kind of weak.

Any reason why you went wood? Metal seems to be better suited to this type of thing. Stronger/Less Bend.

Because I had the left over wood from another project.
