DIY "IndieSlider"

I've done many searches and been unable to find this...
It is a dolly that is about 3 feet long and attaches to the top of
a tripod. I have thought of a way to do it myself, but it would
require inline skate type wheels that are about 1/3 normal size.
Anyone know how to do this?

Im about to build one of these. 1.5 meters long using angle aluminum as the rail and acetal skate wheels. Should work, I will put it on the forum when its done...

Linear bearings are what comprise the slider type dollies. I can't figure out what differentiates a 3000 dollar one from say $450.
