DIY handheld sound recorder support (R26 and H4n)

I can adjust my model and make a new for the H5. I just need a back picture at the right scale. It's easy. But after I need a free hour for this. More difficult. Wait a few days and I post here the H5 model.

It's done. You can download the .stl (H5front, H5back, bottom) on youmagine (link first post). I didn't print this model because I don't get a H5. But I think the H5 stl are ok for print and for use. Let me know if you are difficulties.H5support.jpg

I found a 3d printer that looks reputable. is it ok to print this design in a strong flexible plastic? or what material would you suggest? thx for all your help!

I don’t know 3D printing. I trust the guy who printed my support. I explained him the object and its use and he made the print in PLA. It’s a strong hard plastic. But I think there are other choices.

I like that style. I have an H4n.

Being a Toolmaker I will machine my pieces out of aluminum or natural nylon. I might tweak a thing or two as well. Nice design!

No problem. I see the design principle. I got it.

I am glad you took the time to find the considerations (support attaching points allowing access to XLR connections) and such. I am too busy to take the time for that. Still don't know when I will get around to actually making the pieces. Making the things is one of the best parts of the hobby.
