I needed to be able to frame my shot with having to look through the viewfinder. I got a VIZIO VMB070 7 - Inch Edge Lit Razor LED LCD Portable TV

I had a piece of metal (I think it was 20 gauge) Bent to the contour of the TV. I tapped it at the bottom with 1/4-20 thread tap. Using a cold shoe adapter I was in business with a cheap framing monitor.
