looking at the guys videos hes got a very usuable solution and alternative to the okii follow focus that would cost u 400 bones.

Looks interesting. I don't quite follow why there is two different Arduino boards (Arduino Pro and Seeduino) in the reguirements list? Dslr-forum.de is down, so can't get any info from there. I have some Arduino Uno boards laying in my drawer, so if there's no problems with different board, I might try this also.

there is no difference other than how the pro versus the uno is powered. i actually am using the uno board. and im using the sparkfun usb host shield. i got the code uploaded and works fine. only issue i ran into were getting the libraries into the arduino program. required libraries are arduino camera control, timer, and usb host 2.0. im in the hunt right now to find some rotary encoders. at the moment it seems to be working and it says its interfacing with my 60d.

oh and ur first question. there is no difference really between arduino pro or seeduino. seeduino is just a company that is making board that acts the same for cheaper and with a different name.

ill try and keep u posted on my progress. please let me know your progress too! good luck

I was looking for a follow focus kit on the internet but then I saw this topic.
Have read about the arduino but never worked with it.

Is this to difficult to start with?

sorry for wating long to respond i didnt see that someone replied. yes its pretty easy if u have a little programing experience but with the tutorial just use his code too.
